Zackary William Timm, age 23, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died January 29, 2017, as a result of a car accident near Lanark, Illinois. A private family service will be held.
Zack was born July 11, 1993, in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Anthony and Elizabeth (Schall) Timm. He was a 2011 graduate of West Carroll High School where he participated in the band, Golf Team and Envirothon Team. He then attend WyoTech College in Laramie, Wyoming, to study automotive mechanics and received an Associate’s Degree in 2012.
In his younger years, Zack enjoyed being outside hunting and fishing. As he grew older he loved working on cars and would often be found helping a friend. Zack had a good work ethic and began working at age 13 at various jobs, and worked the past four years at the Mt. Carroll Home Center. He enjoyed doing odd jobs for neighbors. Zack was a smart, good-hearted person who liked helping others and who loved making his family and friends laugh. His motto was, “I’m Livin’ the Dream.” His siblings said, “He was the best brother anyone could ever ask for.”
Zack is survived by his parents, Anthony and Elizabeth Timm of Mt. Carroll; siblings, Roman Timm of Lanark, Jessica Anne, Jennifer, and Nathan Timm, all of Mt. Carroll; maternal grandparents, William and Kathleen Schall of Mt. Carroll; maternal great-grandparents, George and Virginia Schall of Berea, Kentucky; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerome and Rosemary Timm; and an aunt, Marta Trent.
