Yvonne M. Lubben, age 79, died on Thursday, November 03, 2005 at her home in Preston, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2005 at Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Preston. Reverend Karl Goodfellow of United Methodist Church of Preston will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 –7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the Funeral Home in Preston. Memorials may be made to the family in Yvonne’s name.
Yvonne was born on August 14, 1926 to Alvin and Bernice (Dietz) Loitz in Elwood, Iowa. She was a graduate of Elwood High School. On January 4, 1945, Yvonne married Donald Lubben in Iowa City, Iowa. Donald passed away on September 15, 1983 in Preston.
Yvonne worked at Brown’s Jack & Jill grocery store in Preston for twenty-two years. She very much loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were an important part of her life. Yvonne enjoyed playing cards and being with people.
Yvonne will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Vicki (Tim) Motroni of Delmar, Iowa and Becky (Dennis) Bormann of Preston, Iowa; one daughter in-law, Donna Lubben of Lowmoor, Iowa; one sister, Doris Hronik of Oxford Junction, Iowa; eight grandchildren and six great grand children.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband Donald; one son, Donald, Jr.; one sister, Betty Jane Wazack; and one granddaughter, Brianne Bormann.
