William M. Holloman, age 67 of Lanark, Illinois, died on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home. Cremation Rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon, Illinois. Burial of his cremated remains will take place in the Shannon Brethren Cemetery, Shannon, Illinois.
Bill was born on February 25, 1950, the son of Russell and Jessie (McBee) Holloman in Elizabethtown, Illinois. He was raised in Dixon, Illinois and attended Dixon High School. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Bill was an open, warm, and generous man. He was a caring person and was always willing to help others. He loved to tinker with small gas engines and enjoyed working on cars and trucks. Bill was also a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking. Most of all, Bill cherished spending time with his close family and friends.
Bill will be dearly missed by his two sisters, Leah (Albert) Ferrell-Shelton of Mt. Morris, Illinois and Darlene (Dennis) Howard of Dixon, Illinois; one brother, Roger Ferrell of Dayton, Ohio; ten children; three close friends, Karleen Klausen of Malden, Illinois, Erica Murillo of Shannon, Illinois, and Robbie Nelson of Lanark, Illinois; and all his other friends in the community. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
