William Frank Fox Jr.

January 15, 1951 — February 11, 2025

William (Bill) Frank Fox, Jr., a free spirit with a heart full of music and an endless curiosity for the world, passed away on February 11, 2025.

Bill was a man of many talents, blessed with an innate gift for music, a brilliant mechanical mind, and a deep love for animals and his family. He could pick up any instrument and make it sing, a talent he shared joyfully throughout his life. A true embodiment of the hippie spirit, he was proud to have experienced the legendary Woodstock festival in 1969—a moment that perfectly captured his love for music, freedom, and adventure. Beyond music, Bill was a natural tinkerer, always immersed in projects—whether fixing an instrument, exploring technology, or working on mechanical creations.

More than anything, Bill was a kind and fun-loving soul who brought warmth and laughter to those around him. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, cherished by his family and all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Spencer; his sisters, MaryAnne Ferri (Leonard) and Christine Love; his beloved nieces and nephews—Erik, Kara, Christopher, Paul, Jason, Erica, Benjamin, and Mallory; and his lifelong best friend, Ted Benz, whom he met as a bandmate in the local rock group, The Shades of Black.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Georgiana Fox, as well as his sisters, June and Susan.

His love for life, music, and the people he held dear will never be forgotten. His spirit will live on in the melodies he played, the laughter he shared, and the countless memories he created.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Save the Music Foundation in his honor, continuing his legacy of spreading the joy of music.
