Wesley "Wes" C. Bailey

Wesley “Wes” C. Bailey age 73, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2006, at Mercy Hospital, Clinton, Iowa. Inurnment will take place at a later date, with full Military Rites. Wes was born in Savanna, Illinois on August 16, 1933, the son of Leslie L and Genevieve V. (Garrow) Bailey. Wes graduated from Savanna High School in 1951. Wes served in the United States Army stationed in Germany.
Wes was a long time Auto Mechanic for Ferris Motors, Savanna, Illinois and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad as a Machinist.
Wes loved to “tinker” with engines or anything mechanical. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his cats.
Wes is survived by three daughters; Barb (Bryan) Hopkins, of Gratiot, Wisconsin, Cindy (Tony) Hoffer, of Apple River, Illinois, and Candie Bailey, of Elizabeth, Illinois; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard A. (Ramona) Bailey, of Savanna, Illinois; one sister; Patsy M. Raab, of Clinton, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Norma.
His parents preceded Wes in death.
