Warren L. Haas

Warren L. Haas, age 85 of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2006 at his home. Cremation Rites will be accorded. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Mount Carroll, Illinois. Reverend Mark Harkness will officiate. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Mount Carroll. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial fund has been established.
Warren was born on November 29, 1920 the son of Elmer and Carrie (Albrecht) Haas in Massbach, Illinois. He attended country school and graduated from Stockton High School, Class of 1939. On February 6, 1955, Warren married Annabell Kunde in Maquoketa, Iowa. They made their home in Massbach where Warren farmed all of his life, retiring and then moving to Mt. Carroll. Warren was awarded the 1978 Conservation Farmer Of The Year.
Warren enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a Private Pilot License.
Warren will be dearly missed by his wife, Annabell, three daughters, Kay Dauphin of Savanna, Linda England of Naperville, IL and Debra (Todd) Freeland of Poplar Grove, IL.; one brother, Floyd (Evelyn) Haas of Morrison, IL.;
eight grandchildren, Robert (Dami) Dauphin and Douglas (Amy) Dauphin, Reece, Warren and Daniel England, Icle, Sidney and Clay Freeland; three great grandchildren, Amelia, Macey and Josslynn Dauphin.
Warren is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leland Haas; a son in-law, Allen England and a granddaughter, Laura Dauphin.
