Wadeen J. Dauphin, native of Savanna, Illinois died October 19, 2018 in her assisted living group home in Phoenix, Arizona as the result of a heart attack. She had suffered from dementia prior to that. A graveside service will be held at the Savanna Township Cemetery Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 3:30.
Wadeen was the last born child of Mary and Wade Tripp in Savanna, Illinois on August 20, 1936. She married Urban Hungerford in 1954. They had one daughter, Lori Hungerford Barrett. Wadeen later married Keith Dauphin in 1984 and was married until Keith’s passing in 2010. She also is preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Mary and her older sister Jeanette Tripp Dieckman (2017) and an infant sister, Maryann.
Wadeen was a cashier at Sullivan's for many, many years. She loved to crochet and loved dogs, especially their last dog named Chance. After Keith passed, she moved to Glendale, Arizona to be closer to her daughter.
Wadeen is survived by her daughter, Lori (Darrell) Barrett and step-son Brian (Karen) Dauphin and step-daughter Angela (Mike) Churillo. Wadeen has 8 grandchildren, Traci, Jesse, Hayden, Joshua, Brennan, Maggie, Alexandra and Phoebe and 2 great granddaughters, Payson and Jasmine, 1 great-grandson Greyson and a soon to be born great-grandson, Jayden.
