Vivian Marie Mullen, age 92, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in Mercy Medical Center-North, Clinton, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. Pastor Michael Jones of York Baptist Church, Thomson, Illinois will officiate. Friends may call from 1:30-3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2006, prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
Vivian was born on April 30, 1913, the daughter of Franklin and Mary (Thulen) Koser in Savanna, Illinois.
Vivian married George Martin VonEssen, that union brought forth four children, he passed away June 30, 1948. She later married Ora Lloyd “Moon” Mullen, he passed away on February 5, 1977.
Vivian worked for ELKAY Manufacturing in Savanna. She was a past member of the
Savanna Women of the Moose. Vivian enjoyed fishing, going shopping and visiting with friends.
Vivian will be dearly missed by her daughter, Georgia Reagan of Savanna; two sons,
George (Linda) VonEssen and Jerry (Penny) VonEssen both of Savanna; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Shackelford of Savanna;
and one brother, Leonard Koser of Savanna. Vivian is preceded in death by both husbands; one son, Eugene VonEssen; and one great granddaughter.
