Virginia Novicki

Virginia L. Novicki, age 78, Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois. A chapel service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll. A memorial fund has been established in Virginia’s memory.
Virginia was born April 10, 1936, the daughter of Clifford and Hazel (Vining) Parker in Cincinnatus, New York. She worked for AT&T in West Chicago, Illinois for thirty years as a shift worker. Virginia also worked for the Mt. Carroll Café in Mt. Carroll for many years. She enjoyed bowling, gambling in Clinton, Iowa, baking pies and cookies for friends and family. Virginia also loved animals, especially cats. Most of all, Virginia cherished the time she spent with her family, friends and companion, Don Fisher.
Virginia will be dearly missed by her companion, Don Fisher of Mt. Carroll; three sons, Gerald (Kristine) Kimber of West Chicago, IL; Charles (Anita) Kimber of West Chicago, IL; Clifford (Peggy) Kimber of Troy, MO ; a daughter, Barbara Ellis of South Elgin, IL; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Norm Novicki; a son, Thomas Kimber; brothers Don, Dick, Elwood “Woody”, and Keith “Jim” Parker; sisters Ella Mae Allen, Madeline Walrad, and Mildred Morris.
