Violet Mae (Blondie) Madison, age 80, of Dixon, Illinois, died Monday, August 16, 2010, at the KSB Hospital, Dixon, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded. No Services will be held. Memorials may be given to Nachusa Children's Home, Nachusa, Illinois
Violet was born on May 16, 1930, in Milledgeville, Illinois, the daughter of Garret and Eva (Paschal) Fredericks.
Violet was employed by Dixon Web Printing. She was a member of Brethren Church of Dixon. Violet enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
Violet is survived by two daughters, Linda (Bob) Hammond of Davis, Junction, Illinois and Mary (Frank) Gale of Green Rock, Illinois; four sons, Terry (Chin) Dixon of Coal Valley, Illinois, Jacob Madison of Dixon, Joe Dixon of Dixon and Tim Dixon of Dixon; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Sofolo of Dixon; two brothers, Leo Fredericks of Dixon and Stanley (Shelby) Ferris of Dixon.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley Johns; five brothers and one granddaughter.
