Victoria“Vicki” J. McCoy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that would do anything to keep her family together, she was the glue that binded her family. On Friday, March 28, 2014 she entered into eternity surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Elizabeth, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded and private services will be held.
Vicki was born in Eugene, Oregon on July 14, 1956 the daughter of Rollie and Carol (Chandler) Allen. Vicki attended Thomson High School. On August 29, 1994 Vicki married the love of her life George McCoy at the Derinda Lutheran Church rural Elizabeth. She worked as housekeeping management for Van Maur in Davenport, Iowa, a over the road truck driver with her husband George, homemaker, management at the Dollar General Store in Savanna, Illinois and as a deli clerk at Sullivan’s Grocery Store in Savanna until she retired following a stroke.
Vicki was an avid Cribbage player and enjoyed crocheting, animals listening to music and dancing. Most of all Vicki, truly loved playing video games with her grandchildren.
Vicki Will be dearly missed by her husband of twenty years, George of Elizabeth; four children, Pamela (Kenny) McEowen of Elizabeth, Deb (Joe Sr.) Dauen of Clinton, Iowa, Steven (Wendy) Weis of Clinton, Angela (Matt) Steen of Clinton; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; mother, Carol Wiebenga; six brothers; five sisters. Vicki is preceded in death by her father, Rollie Allen; first husband, Dennist Hamm; five maternal aunts and uncles; and her best friend, Judith Green “Shot Gun”.
