Vicky L. Dixon, age 66, of Savanna, Illinois, died Monday, February 20, 2012, in Highland Community Hospital, Hillsboro, Ohio. Cremation rites have been accorded. Vicky was born December 2, 1945, the daughter of John and Meredith Collins of Savanna. She attended Savanna schools. Vicky was married to Donald Dixon for forty-five years. They owned and operated Dixon’s Deluxe Diner in Savanna and she spent her later years working for Rolling Hills Progress Center, Lanark, Illinois.
Vicky is survived by her husband, Donald of Savanna; a son, Michael (Lisa) Zubaty of Camanche, Iowa; a daughter, Laurie (William) Eyerly of Washington Court House, Ohio; a step-son, Donnie (Penny) Dixon of Bellevue, Iowa; three granddaughters, Jessica Griffiths of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Jennifer Anderson of Camanche, Iowa and Lisa Dixon of Bellevue, Iowa; three grandsons, Jeffrey Anderson of Savanna, Michael Anderson and John Zubaty, both of Mt. Carroll; one sister, Judy Getz of Savanna; two brothers, Richard (Barb) Collins of Savanna and Michael (Janice) Collins of Muscatine, Iowa. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, John and Meredith Collins.
