Tyler J. Laureys, age 33, of Savanna, Illinois, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, as the result of an ATV accident which occurred in Savanna. Cremation rites have been accorded and a time of sharing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mount Carroll, Illinois. Friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., prior to the time of sharing at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Tyler’s name to the American Heart Association, 460 N. Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63141. Tyler was born on September 23, 1974, the son of Lynn and Jane (Davis) Laureys in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He graduated from Woodstock High School in Woodstock, Illinois, with the Class of 1992. For the past three years, Tyler was employed as a general manager for Poopy’s Pub and Grill in Savanna. Before managing Poopy’s, Tyler worked in several other restaurants. He loved people and enjoyed working with and being around others. Tyler also worked for a short time on various construction sites. He loved all animals, especially his dog, Codie. Tyler was very artistic and loved to draw. He also enjoyed horseback riding and hanging out with his friends.Tyler will be lovingly missed by his parents, Lynn and Jane Laureys of Lake Carroll, Illinois; a brother, Brett (Denise) Laureys of Mundelein, Illinois; a sister, Jamie (Mark) Nabielec of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and maternal grandparents, Dudley and Doris Davis of Clearwater, Florida. Tyler is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Bernice Laureys.
