Treasure Ann Jargo, beloved wife of Steven M. Jargo, of McCormick, SC, passed away from Alzheimer's Disease on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. A funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston, Iowa. Burial will take place in Miles Cemetery, Miles, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Treasure’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
Born on March 10, 1950 in Geneseo, IL, she married Steve in 1970. A graduate of Annawan, IL High School, she completed her B.A. in Applied Art at Iowa State University in 1974, and went on to a career in interior design in Houston, TX and Midland, MI. In Midland, she established her own design business; for a number of years General Motors was a main client. She was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, and she served as an officer in the Michigan chapter of the Institute of Business Designers.
While she was devoted to her profession, she also loved time with family, boating with Steve on Lake Huron, in the vessel named after her, traveling in the United States and abroad, and designing the lake home to which she and Steve retired.
She is survived by her husband and her brother, Terry, and sister-in-law, Linda of Cedar Rapids, IA. Preceding her in death were her parents, Betty Jean and Rollin G. Heller.
