Tina Matson

Tina Lynn Matson, age 66, of Hanover, Illinois passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Waverly Place, Stockton, Illinois. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. Burial will take place in Lost Mound Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Tina’s memory.
Tina was born on August 8, 1949, in Malvern, Iowa, the daughter of Don and Thelma White. Tina married Allen Matson on December 19, 1980 in Savanna, Illinois. She worked as a CNA for the Elizabeth Nursing Home for 17 years until her retirement in 2007.
Tina was a very helping and caring person. She loved the residents and employees at the nursing home, and being a CNA. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, especially with her best friends, Dorothy and Cookie. Most of all, she cherished the years she spent with her husband, Allen.
Tina will be dearly missed by her husband, Allen; one son, Jerry (Joan) Anderson of Savanna; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lee White of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Russell White of Malvern, Iowa; two sisters, Donna Miller of Kewanee, Illinois and Bonnie White of Washington. Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Thelma; a stepson, Gene Matson, and a brother, Donald White, Jr.
