Timothy “Tim” Dale Mace, age 65 of Savanna, Illinois, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa died on Friday, November 24, 2017 at his home in Savanna. Cremation Rites have been accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.
Timothy was born on October 8, 1952, the son of James and Jacqueline (Fridley) Mace in Waterloo, Iowa. He was raised in Waterloo and attended Waterloo Schools. Timothy proudly served his Country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. After he was honorably discharged, Tim went back to school and learned Drafting. He married Dawn Timmer on May 12, 1990 in Waterloo.
During the 80’s, Timothy worked as a Welder for P.D.I. in Des Moines, Iowa for several years. He later worked as a Tire Buffer for Firestone Tire in Des Moines, Iowa for fifteen years. Timothy moved to Savanna in 2015 and opened a custom motorcycle and repair shop. Tim enjoyed building and working on motorcycles, motorcycles were his life. He was a H.O.G. member and was a former member of “The Waterloo Outlaws”. Timothy enjoyed the outdoors; especially riding motorcycles and fishing. He also enjoyed relaxing and reading a good book or watching a movie. Timothy also enjoyed sports; especially N.A.S.C.A.R and the Kansas City Chiefs play football.
Timothy will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Alysen (Joshua Grillot) Mace of Farmington, Illinois, and Tabitha Mace of Cedar Falls, Iowa; three grandchildren, Remy Grillot, and Jocelyn and Max Mace; two brothers, Michael and Randy Mace; and one sister, Terri Mace. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandsons, Caleb and Jackson Grillot.
