Timothy Michael Burkholder, age 61, of Lanark, Illinois passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Serenity Hospice House, Oregon, Illinois after an short illness.
A Celebrationm of Life will be held 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Law-Jones Eastland in Lanark. Memorials may be made in his memory for Serenity Hospice House in Oregon. Family and friends are invited to share in Timothy’s life at

Timothy was born May 12, 1959, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Ray Alan and Marlene Jean (St. Claire) Burkholder. He graduated from Lanark High School with the Class of 1978. On October 8, 1994, Tim married Tammy Kinder, together they raised two children and celebrated 26 years of marriage.
Tim has worked for the CP Railroad for 42 years as a track builder, repairman and truck driver. He was a morning person and a hard worker who believed in doing the job right the first time. He liked working for the railroad and appreciated the friendships he made there. He loved his Harley and collecting toy John Deere tractors, but his truest of all joys in his life were his family, friends and of course his Grandchildren. Timothy was a devoted and loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend.
Timothy will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Tammy of Lanark; his daughter, Lauren Hutmacher of Winslow; his son, Keller Burkholder of Lanark; two grandchildren, Dayton and Bradyn Hutmacher; his father, Ray Burkholder of Lanark; brother, Raymond (Mary) Burkholder of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and three sisters, Theresa Stajcar of Lanark, Christina LaPointe of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and Elizabeth (James) Bracelet of North Carolina. Timothy is preceded in death by his mother, Marlene; his maternal and paternal Grandparents; several Aunts and Uncles; and many Nieces and Nephews.
