Timmy Joe Holland

Timmy Joe Holland, age 69, of Shelby, NC, died tragically in an accident on May 28, 2023, near Milledgeville, IL. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on a later date. Family and friends are invited to share in Tim’s life at lawjonesfuneralhome.com.

Tim was born May 21, 1954, in Morrison, IL, the son of Lonnie and Alice (Bumphrey) Holland. Tim worked most of his life as a mechanic, owning and operating K&T Auto Repair, in Sterling. He retired in 2016. On October 26, 1999, Tim married Karen Bell.

Tim enjoyed a good trip to Buffalo Wild Wings, and loved to spend his days golfing, riding his Harley with friends, or going to races. He was also a loving father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his son, daughter, and granddaughters. In retirement, he would vacation with his daughter and granddaughters often!

Everyone who knew Tim, loved him. He was the type of man who would do anything for anyone. He was funny, charismatic, kind, giving, and helpful. He will be dearly missed.

Tim is survived by his son, Daniel Holland, of Sycamore, IL; daughter, Ashley Holland, of Rock Falls, IL; granddaughters, Addison and Lilian; brothers, Ervin (Jill) Cornstubble, of Lyndon, IL and Rick (Deb) Cornstubble, of Sterling, IL; sister, Grace Ann (Frank) Harms, of California; step-father, Bert Cornstubble. He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen; mother, Alice Cornstubble; and brothers, David Cornstubble, Daniel Cornstubble, and Dennis Cornstubble.
