Thomas "Tom" H. Buck, 69, of Flossmoor, Illinois formerly of Savanna, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 12:00p.m. Saturday January 16, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna with a luncheon following immediately in the church hall. Donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.
Tom was born December 31, 1940, in Savanna, the son of Howard and Mary (King) Buck. He married Suzanne T. Miller on June 24, 1988, in Flossmoor, IL.
He attended Savanna High School and graduated with the class of 1958. Tom was a Savanna businessman and spent his career in the insurance industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, traveling, his motorcycle, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. His caring and affection will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom will be dearly missed by his wife, Suzanne Buck of Flossmoor; his mother Mary Buck of Savanna; two daughters, Karen (Robert) King of Milan, and Gillian Miller of Los Angeles; five sons, Kevin (Emma) Buck of Bellevue, NE, William (Susan) Buck of Holly Springs, NC, Derek (Debbie) Miller, Alex Miller and Graham Miller, all of Los Angeles; six grandchildren, Bill and Brian King, Justin Buck and Mary Roelker, and Bryce and Hannah Buck.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Howard Buck, and a daughter, Christina Buck.
