Terry Norman, 71, of Sabula, IA, passed away on December 29, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at Mercy One Medical Center in Clinton, IA. A funeral service will be held at Law Jones Funeral Home, in Savanna, IL, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 2 p.m. Visitation will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., before the service. Terry was born on February 14, 1951, the son of Arthur LeRoy “Bubby” and Dorothy Bernice (Lange) Norman in Clinton, Iowa. Terry attended Fulton High School, and later went on to work at International Paper, where he met his wife and best friend, Sally.
Terry and Sally went on to relocate for work to Franklin, GA where they spent the next 13 years. During this time, Terry and Sally made their love official and married on February 14th, 2001. After retirement, Terry and Sally moved back to Sabula, IA in 2015.
Terry enjoyed his retirement to the fullest and used his time productively, to focus on his hobbies and fiercely loving his family. He enjoyed camping for weeks at a time with Sally and their two dogs, Molly and Goober. He was skilled with his hands, spending hours crafting beautiful wood workings, and working around their home and garden. Most of all, Terry loved spending time as Papa, caring for and loving his great-grandchildren.
Terry is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Dorthy; and sister, Debbie Norman. He is survived by his wife Sally; three sisters, Connie (Jeff) Weirema, Pam (Beth) Norman, and Betty (Tom) Olson; two brothers, Rick (Joan) Norman and Lee Norman; two sons, TJ Norman, and Trent (Lisa) Norman; step-sons, Willy (Laura) Aldis and Dan (Shawna Niles) Aldis; step-daughter, Bobbi Jo (Ernie) Bratcher; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
