Terry LeVere Kane, age 64, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at home. A private graveside service will be held in the Derinda Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Derinda, Illinois. Visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna.
Terry was born August 2, 1951, in the Savanna City Hospital the son of LeVere G. and Lois (Kosier) Kane. He attended Elizabeth High School and graduated with the Class of 1969. Terry worked as a commercial fisherman his whole life in Savanna. Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, making sausage and canning foods. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his son, Joe.
Terry will be dearly missed by his son, Joe (Jessica Knauer) of Elizabeth; one brother, Marlo (Nicole Zink) Kane of Elizabeth; step-brother, Daniel (Carmen) Holcomb of Elizabeth. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Debbie Green, Sheryl Snyder; step-mom, Geraldine Holcomb; step-brother, Jeff Holcomb, and his paternal grandparents, Glenn (Louise) Kane.
