Teddy L. Mangler

Teddy L. Mangler, age 74, of Miles, Iowa, died on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am - Noon on Saturday, January 13, 2006 at the Green Island Congregational Church in Green Island, Iowa. A private family funeral service will take place following the visitation. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be given to Mercy Hospice or the Green Island Congregational Church in Teddy's memory.
Teddy was born on July 16, 1932, the son of Melvin L. and Margaret S. (Krumvidi) Mangler in Green Island, Iowa. Teddy married Adelle Bender and was later re-married to Carol Windchip. He then married Joy Todtz in August of 1969 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa. He graduated from Mason City High School in Mason City, Iowa and later studied Theology in Waverly, Iowa. Teddy served in the U.S. Army with the 6th Armor Division and was stationed at Fort Leonard, Missouri. He was also stationed in Greenland for a period of time. Teddy worked in marketing and retail management in Clinton, Iowa and Detroit, Michigan for many years. He was active in the Green Island Congregational Church. Teddy enjoyed fishing, crosswords, classical music, coin collecting and an avid reader.

Teddy is survived by three sons, Mark Mangler of Tampa, Florida, Bronson (Patricia) Mangler and Montgomery Mangler both of Clinton, Iowa; three brothers, Rance (Karen) Robinson of Clute, Texas, Wayne (Rita) Robinson of Green Island, and Richard (Patricia) Robinson of Goose Lake, Iowa; four sisters, Patricia Prechel of Elmore, Minnesota, Vickie (Carlye) Evers of Low Moor, Iowa, Lou (Bill) Thompson of Yucca, Arizona and Sue Hammond of Commanche, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
