Ted A. Fink, age 52, of Lanark, Illinois, died Monday, August 21, 2006 at his home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2006, at the the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chadwick, Illinois with Reverend Marcia Strahl officiating. Burial will be in Chadwick Cemetery, Chadwick, Illinois. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Ted was born January 27, 1954, in Sterling, Illinois, the son of Arnold and June (Miller) Fink. Ted graduated from Lanark High School with the class of 1972. On December 28, 1974 Ted married Rhoda Dumroese in Freeport, Illinois. Ted farmed all of his life near Lanark. Ted had a passion for raising crops and planting trees. The time he spent with his granddaughters was very important to him.
Ted will be deeply missed by his wife Rhoda Fink of Lanark, Illinois; two sons Peter Fink and Chris (Deanna) Fink, both of Lanark, Illinois; two granddaughters Samantha and Katelyn; and one sister Judy (Donald) Dampman of Lanark, Illinois; two brothers Gerald (Penny) Fink, of Lanark, Illinois and Dale Fink of Greenbelt, Maryland. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-mother Faith Coleman Fink.
