Tammy Ricklefs, age 40, of Monmouth, Iowa, formerly of Sabula, Iowa, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at her home. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the Miller – Law – Jones Funeral Home in Preston, Iowa. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Sabula. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Tammy was born March 5, 1971, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of Helen (Welch) Ricklefs. She graduated from Maquoketa High School. Tammy married Dean Riordan on August 23, 2011, after being together for over seventeen years.
Tammy worked at D.A.C. in Maquoketa and babysat for many people in the area. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, hiking, bingo, and going to the riverboat casino. Tammy’s family would like to thank Jackson County Hospice, especially Rose Franzen, for all of their care and kindness.
Tammy is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Dean Riordan of Monmouth, Iowa; one daughter, Amy Reinhart of Clinton, Iowa; three sons, Roy Ricklef of Eldridge, Iowa, Cody Peters of Andrew, Iowa, and Tyler Peters of Andrew; her mother, Helen Ricklefs of Maquoketa, Iowa; one brother, Terry Ricklefs of Monmouth; and her dog Paco who stayed with her everynight.
