Suzanne P. Berg, age 66, of Savanna, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. A celebration of Suzie’s life will be held on a later date.
Suzie was born December 11, 1953, in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Philip and Maxine (Gamble) Hottenstein. She attended Savanna schools, graduating from Savanna High School. On February 18, 1973, Suzie married Jeff “Moose” Berg. She spent time working for Mercy Hospital, and most recently, Sarah Harding Senior Living Center, in Clinton, IA.
Suzie was a fun-loving, kind soul, who spent her days boating, motorcycling, and going out to eat with her dear husband, Moose. She and Moose loved their trips to Wisconsin where they would visit state parks, rent cabins, and visit Zoos where Suzie could marvel at her animal friends. She loved her pets dearly, especially JBJ, Phylisha, Kara, and Sophie.
Suzie will be dearly missed by her husband, Moose; sisters, Joyce (Greg) Eversoll, of Savanna, IL, Cindy (Frank) Norman, of Savanna, IL, and Kay Anderson, of Savanna, IL; brother, Philip G. (Brenda) Hottenstein; stepmother, Bettie Hottenstein; and many nieces and nephews. Suzie is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
