Stacy R. DeNomy, age 42, of Savanna, Illinois, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Thomson, Illinois with a funeral service held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory.
Stacy was born May 24, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Edward and Penny (Marsh) DeNomy. She attended Savanna and Thomson schools. She always enjoyed camping and fishing on the Mississippi River.
Stacy will be remembered as a loving and protective mother and grandmother. She was very out-going, had a big heart, and loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her social life with her friends. One of her favorite pastimes was riding her Harley.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her son, Joshua DeNomy; two daughters, Carly Denomy and Katelyn Smith; two grandchildren, Justus Marie and Carter Michael Joshua; her mother, Penny McGinnis, all of Savanna; her father, Edward DeNomy of Missouri; a sister, Deb (Keith) Griffin of Pearl City; and two brothers, Paul (Jackie) McGinnis and Pat (Amanda) McGinnis of Savanna; four step sisters, Cheryl and Kim McGinnis, Chris (Monty) Keckler and Angie (Tivo) Lopez; and a loving friend and companion, Tim Fosdick.
Stacy is preceded in death by her grandparents and her stepfather, Paul K. McGinnis, Jr.
