Shirley D. Felderman

Shirley Delphine Felderman, age 82, a life-long resident of Spragueville, devoted much of her life to caring for others. Shirley passed away January 5, 2021 at the Maquoketa Care Center. A private family funeral service with burial in the Spragueville Cemetery will be held.

Shirley was born June 27, 1938, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of George Sr. and Arminda (Hageman) Beck. She is a 1956 graduate of the Preston High School. On September 7, 1957, Shirley married Allan Felderman. They celebrated 57 years of marriage until Allan’s passing in 2015.

Shirley worked at the Jackson County Courthouse after she graduated from High School. She later became a homemaker and caretaker. She felt a calling to care for others, and this calling made all the difference in her life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Shirley also enjoyed going to the casino and playing cards.

Shirley will be dearly missed by her son Dale Allan (Mandy Constantino) Felderman of Clinton; two daughters, Becky Willis of Clinton and Brenda (Pete) Eickert of Preston, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Sheena Eickert, Shane Eickert, Dakota Felderman, Logan Felderman and Jennifer Moore; a brother, Robert (Lenora) Beck of Sabula; and two sisters-in-law, Caryl Beck of Gooselake and Gloria Sager of Bellevue. Shirley is preceded in death by both parents; her husband Allan; a son-in-law, Richard Willis; three brothers, Ambrose, Chelsea and George, Jr. “Shorty”; and three sisters, Ruth, Virginia and Joyce.
