Sherry Ernst

Sherry L. Ernst age 72, of Richmond, Kentucky formerly of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Savanna. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna.
Sherry was born April 26, 1944 in Fort Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Mildred C. Johnson. She attended Savanna High School and graduated with the Class of 1962. On June 9, 1962, Sherry married the love of her life James F. Ernst at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna. James passed away June 22, 1996. Sherry enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Sherry is survived by her two sons, Mike (Amy) Ernst of Laramie, Wyoming, Mark (Carrie) Ernst of Richmond; daughter, Jody Ernst LaNew of Richmond; five grandchildren, Sydney Ernst, Kristen Ernst of Laramie, Shelby LaNew, Gage LaNew of Richmond, Braylon Ernst of Richmond and one brother Darry (Rita) Andrew. Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred and her husband, James.
