Sharon Sack

Sharon Sack, age 64, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at her home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Frank – Law – Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll. Cremation rites will follow. A private family gathering will be held Saturday, July 14.
Sharon was born February 6, 1948, at home in Freedom Township, Lanark, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Helen (Wubben) Bork Sr.. She graduated from Mt. Carroll High School. Sharon was united in marriage to Gary C. Sack on July 26, 1980. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1995. Sharon worked at Atwoods in Mt. Carroll for many years. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved her animals. Sharon was a great cook and enjoyed baking cookies and brownies.
Sharon is survived by two daughters, Malissa (Jessie) Arteaga of LaMoille, Illinois, and Myra Sack of Mt. Carroll; four sons, Mike (Julie) Rekenthaler of Mt. Carroll, Marcus (Geralyn) Rekenthaler of Florence, Colorado, Matthew (Tiffany) Sack of Savanna, Illinois, and Melvin (Angela) Sack of Savanna; two step sons, Michael (Georgia) Sack of Lost Nation, Iowa, and Mark (Jody) Sack of Chadwick, Illinois; seventeen grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn Schreiner of Thomson, Illinois; Shirley (Ronald) Brashaw of Mt. Carroll, and Catherine Bork Matthewson of Hinesville, Georgia; one brother, Marshall “Bud” Bork Jr. of Savanna; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gary C. Sack.
