Sharon Kay Henfrey, age 64, of Miles, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 at the Transitional Care Unit of Mercy Medical Center South in Clinton, Iowa. Cremation rites will be accorded. Friends may call during a Memorial Visitation, held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston, Iowa. A private family service will follow, with Deacon Ray Hilgendorf officiating.
Sharon was born October 10, 1941, the daughter of William and Loretta E. (Steines) Schultz, in Villa Nova, Iowa. Sharon married Dale John Henfrey on January 7, 1961, in Clinton, Iowa. Sharon was a homemaker. She owned the S&M Café for three years, located between Preston and Miles, Iowa. Sharon enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, and loved to cook. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her husband, Dale Henfrey of Miles, Iowa; three sons, Mark (Candace) Henfrey of Bellevue, Iowa, Mike (Anita) Henfrey of Miles, Iowa, Mitchell Henfrey of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Marietta (Scott) Rowton of San Angelo, Texas, Marcia (Brian) Ralston of Clinton, Iowa; three brothers, Randy (Hazel) Schultz of Clinton, Iowa, David (Candice) Schultz of Clinton, Iowa, Wayne (Kathy) Schultz of Commanche, Iowa; three sisters, Patricia Peters of Sabula, Iowa, Diana (Raymond) Tobin of Clinton, Iowa, Mary (Mike) Grinnall of Clinton, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald Schultz and Robert Schultz; and one sister, Brenda Schultz.
