Scott K. Marburger of Sabula, Iowa, was an extraordinary, loving, devoted husband and a hero to his son’s at the age of 53, he went home to be with the lord following a brief illness. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna, Illinois. A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 prior to the celebration of life service. A memorial fund has been established in Scott’s memory.
Scott was born February 27, 1962 in Savanna, the son of Russell and Joleen (Dunham) Marburger. He attended East Central School in Miles, Iowa and graduated with the Class of 1981. On March 29, 1986, Scott married the love of his life Angela “Angie” Giddings at the United Methodist Church in Sabula. Scott worked for Custom-Pak in Clinton, Iowa and Pocahontas, Arkansas as a Process Facilitator for almost 35 years.
Scott enjoyed going to the river, farming with his sons, his 1105 tractor. He would help anyone out that needed help. Scott took pride in everything he did and had. Family was everything to Scott, he was the perfect husband and father and he treasured every moment he spent with them.
Scott will be dearly missed by his devoted wife, Angie; two sons, Brandon R. (Amanda) Marburger of Sabula, Bradley (Fiancé Bobbie Andersen) of Pocahontas; a grandson on the way Tyler Scott Marburger; mother, Joleen Mangler of Clinton; six brothers and sisters, Judy (Gregg) Matthiesen, Brent (Deb) Marburger, Jayne (Jerry) Weber, Brian (Kelly) Marburger, Janet (Reynold) Giddings and Jill Marburger; his loving dog, Maci Mae. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Russell and his grandparents.
