Scott Lloyd Link loved being a Dad to Kaylee and Raelynn, dearly loved his companion Haylee "Peanut" Hovis and was looking forward to the birth of their next child this summer. Scott (26), Haylee (22), Raelynn (1), and their expectant baby to be born, all were sadly taken from us on Saturday morning, January 16, 2016 as the result of a single vehicle accident near Hanover, Illinois. A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Memorials may be given in their memory.
Scott was born June 14, 1989 in Elgin, Illinois, the son of Chris and Bobbi (Otte) Link. He grew up in Wappappello, Missouri and attended school in Puxico. At the age of fourteen, Scott began working with his dad, hanging drywall for construction jobs. He became a father for the first time when Kaylee Link was born on October 24, 2009 in Missouri.
After moving to the Savanna area, Scott met Haylee Hovis and they began their life together on January 17, 2014. Scott would call Haylee his baby, he cared for and loved her deeply. On January 5, 2015, their daughter, Raelynn was born. He enjoyed being a dad, and was looking forward to expecting a new baby this summer. Scott was a hard worker, working at S & P Construction, Savanna and Elite Tree Service, Mt. Carroll. He liked fixing up his car and loud country music.Scott leaves this world alongside his companion, Haylee Hovis and daughter, Raelynn, and an expectant baby to be born.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Kaylee Link of Missourri; his mother, Bobbi Link of Savanna; his father, Chris (Sherry) Link of Wappappello, Missouri; three sisters, Kristy Link of Savanna, Sherri (Chris) Hulan of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Sheena Stafford; a brother, Cody Blagg; four nieces and nephews, Aminah, Samara, Austin and Levi; his maternal grandmother, Paulette Ensey of Savanna; his paternal grandmother, Janie Link of Gulfport, Mississippi; and all of Haylee’s family. Scott is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gary Otte and his Paternal Grandfather, Steve Link.
