Sandra Sue Podolski

Sandra Sue Podolski, age 79, of Savanna, Illinois passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at ManorCare in Davenport, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. Cremation rites will take place and burial will take place in Spring Lake Cemetery, Savanna at a later date.

Sandra was born February 6, 1939, in Zeigler, Illinois, the daughter of Noel and Vina (Stafford) Hall. She attended Zeigler High School. On October 20, 1956, Sandra married the love of her life Michael Podolski. They celebrated 48 years of marriage until Michael’s passing. Sandra worked for the Eaton Corporation in Savanna for 20 years. She was also a homemaker, taking care of her family meant the world to her.

Sandra was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Congregation in Clinton, Iowa. Sandra enjoyed swimming and taking care of her flowers. Most of all, Sandra treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.

Sandra will be dearly missed by her son Carey (Yolanda) Podolski of Savanna, Illinois; three daughters, Tammy (Tony) Deutscher and Renee (Bill) Stebbins, both of Thomson, Illinois and Sheryl (Taylor) Sturgeon of Bay, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Carol) Hall of Royalton, Illinois and Gerry (Carol) Hall of Ziegler, Illinois. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Noel and Vina, and husband Michael.
