Sandra K. Bourrette, age 65, of Hanover, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at her home in Hanover, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna, Illinois. Pastor Lisa Mapes will officiate. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Hanover. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. The family has requested that memorials be made to the Safe Haven Humane Society in Elizabeth, Illinois or Mercy Hospice, Clinton, Iowa, in Sandra’s honor. Sandra was born June 27, 1941, the daughter of Clifford and Lillian (Lashelle) Davis in Savanna. She attended Savanna schools. In 1956 Sandra married Alfred Anderson. In 1986 Sandra married Tom Bourrette. Sandra worked at the Savanna Army Depot for twenty-seven years, retiring in 2000. She is a past member of the Savanna Women of the Moose.Sandra loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially having gatherings during the Holidays. Her family was her life; she would set aside her own needs to take care of theirs.Sandra will be dearly missed by her husband, Tom of Hanover; a son, Patrick Anderson of Mt. Carroll; five daughters, Bonnie Engaldo of Savanna, Jody Carley of Mt. Carroll, Dena (Richard) Anderson of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Jeannine (Tony) Eldrenkamp of Clinton, Iowa, Tascha (Jeff) Tix of Dunkerton, Iowa; two sisters, Jeanine Mills and Debbie Garvey, both of Savanna; two step-sons, Jason of Hanover and Jeff (Fiance’, Misha Dockens) of Hanover; two step-daughters, Penny Bourrette of Savanna and Patti Morrison of Hanover; twenty-three grandchildren and nineteen great grand children; and a very special life-long friend, Kay Holmbo of Hanover. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Anna Tix; one daughter in-law, Elizabeth Anderson; one brother, Junior Davis and two brother in-laws, Gerry Garvey and Tom Mills.
