Sammy K. Klitz

Sammy K. Klitz of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2015, at the age of 63, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL, surrounded by family and friends. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private gathering will be held in Rockford at a later date. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Savanna at a later date.
Sammy was born February 25, 1951, to Royal and Jean (Woodyatt) Klitz in Savanna, IL. Sammy was a special child and special man. He loved going on outings and spending time with his family during Christmas and holidays. He especially loved the Fourth of July. He truly enjoyed his family and extended family at Milestone, Inc. and will be dearly missed by all of them.
Sammy is survived by his siblings, Kerry Klitz of Savanna, IL, Steve Bearsley of Albany, IL, Brett (Terri) Bearsley of Savanna, IL, Sonya (Joe) Alden of Rock Falls, IL, Michelle (Scott) Miller of Savanna, IL, Valissa Bearsley of Savanna, IL, Kris (Larry) Speck of Tampico, IL, and Polly Klitz of Savanna, IL; a brother-in-law, Don Heman; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Sammy is preceded in death by both parents; a sister, Viki; and a brother, Bryan.
