Ruth Wilbur

Ruth Eleanor Wilbur of Savanna, Illinois, died at the age of 96 on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, Iowa. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Friends and family are invited to share in Ruth’s life at www.lawjonesfuneralhome.com .
Ruth was born August 21, 1921 in Clay City, Indiana, the daughter of Adrian and Minette (Miller) Morris. She attended Wiley High School in Terre Haute, Indiana. She married James Wilbur on April 22, 1939 in Terre Haute, Indiana. James died on April 17, 1985.
Ruth was a homemaker who treasured taking care of her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Savanna and loved doing crossword puzzles and watching TV.
Ruth will be dearly missed by two daughters, Sherry Conley of Savanna, Dianne Mathews of Branson, Missouri; a son, Mark (Sharon) Wilber; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet (Norm) Williams of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her husband, James; a son, Alan; a granddaughter, Kathy Jo; and two sisters, June and Jean.
