Ruby Louise Dearing

Ruby Louise Dearing passed away on January 22, 2024. A private funeral service will be held for family and friends.

Ruby was born in Wynn Arkansas on September 17, 1939 to Venoliur and Shadrack Creekmore. She married the love of her life Carl Dearing in Mississippi. They moved to Illinois and raised four children.

Ruby worked at Illinois Tool Works for 25 years while actively raising her family. Ruby loved being a room mother, helping with driving the school team to sporting events. Pitched in for the Girl Scouts. Ruby loved to help anyone that was in need.

In her retirement she loved to crochet, sew, and make quilts. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family. In the most recent years she moved to Nevada with her daughter Denise and family, where she loved the weather and scenery. Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl, five brothers and two sisters, and her grandson Reagan.

Ruby is survived by her two bothers Daniel and Harold Creekmore. Her two sisters Etta Little and Miriam(Billy) Drum. Four children Brenda(Michael) Smallwood, Terry(Kristine) Dearing, Carla Holt, and Denise(Jeff) Welch. Twelve grandchildren, Twenty-five great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Holt, Terry Dearing Jr, Austin Weller, Adam Garncarz, Hunter Brashaw, Jeffrey Welch Jr., Ean Bird, and Bailey Duncan.
