Ronald D. "Ron" Aise Sr.

September 12, 1951 — February 8, 2025

Ronald D. “Ron” Draise, Sr., 73, of Chillicothe, passed at 1:17 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born September 1, 1951, in Circleville, Ohio, to the late Donald and Elizabeth Morgan Draise. On April 6, 2013, he married the former Julie Ackerman who survives.

Also surviving are children, Ronald D. (Jamie) Draise, Jr., of Frankfort, Travis Draise, of Chillicothe, Doug (Rebecca) Sandholdt, of Cape Coral, FL, DeeAnn Swanson, of Norwalk, IA and Cari (Matt) Gallagher, of Carroll, OH; grandchildren, Micah Elton, Cody Draise, Justin Draise, Nathan Sandholdt, Elivia Stout, Leah Gallagher, Brittany Breyer, and Delaney Ackley; and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Donald L. “Dude” Draise.

Ron retired from Chillicothe Correctional Institute where he had held many positions thru his career. Following retired from C.C.I, he went to work for Fed Ex where he drove a semi until he retired in 2013. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. Ron was a Cowboy at heart and also enjoyed riding horses and watching rodeos. Above all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, at Evergreen Cemetery in Sabula. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Sabula VFW following the service.
