Roger E. House

Roger Ellis House, age, 68 of Sabula, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula with Reverend Robert Krueger officiating. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm. Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula. Roger was born March 6, 1941 the son of Carlisle E. and Margret “Lois” (Coleman) House in Sabula, Iowa. He graduated from Sabula High School, Class of 1958. On August 28, 1965, Roger married Darlene Wacker. They had two sons, Jeff and Dave House. On April 17, 2004 he married Bonnie Greve. Roger worked thirty-two years for Dupont Corporation, he also worked part-time driving semi truck and for Lord Baltimore Company. Roger very much enjoyed Allis Chalmers tractors, hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with family, especially his sons. Roger’s favorite past-time was old western movies, John Wayne was a favorite. Roger is survived by his mother, Margret “Lois” House; wife, Bonnie; two sons, Jeff (Nancy) House of Miles, Iowa, and their children Jarrett and Jace, and David (Heather) House of Sabula, Iowa, and their children Logan and Shelby; seven step-children, Greg (Teresa) Greve, Tammy (John) McCusker, Michael (Kathy) Greve, Julie (Ray) Markin, Scott Greve, Todd Greve and Gary (Jody) Greve; four younger brothers; three nieces; six nephews; seventeen step-grandkids; and four step-great grandchildren. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Carlisle House and first wife, Darlene House.
