Robin Lynn Beitler Nielsen

Robin Lynn Beitler Nielsen, 49, had a heart of gold for everyone that she met. She was kind and generous. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her best. Robin passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at her home in Amarillo, Texas. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll, Illinois with Pastor Steven Newell officiating. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Robin was born May 21, 1966, in Kailua, Hawaii to Richard and Carol Beitler. The middle child, she was the arbitrator between her sister and brother. Robin grew up as a military child and the family moved around the country until finally moving to Savanna, Illinois in 1977. After her parents’ divorce, the family moved to Lanark, Illinois until her mother remarried and then moved to Milledgeville, Illinois. She graduated from Milledgeville High School with the class of 1984. She joined the United States Army a short time later. Robin graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Amarillo College.
She will be dearly missed by her mother, Carol Morhardt, Mt. Carroll, IL; her father, Richard (Cathy) Beitler of Collierville, Tennessee; her sister Michaela (Leslie) Nelson of Chadwick, Illinois; and her brother, Kevin (Angela) Beitler of Collierville, Tennessee; two daughters, Amber (Arick) Wray and Megan Nielsen; and a son, Matthew (fiancée Stephanie) Nielsen; three grandchildren, Annika, Alan, and Ahren, all of Amarillo, and several nieces and nephews. Robin was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Michael.
