Roberta “Bobbi” K. Clemmons, age 66, of Savanna, Illinois died on Monday, November 12, 2012 at her home surrounded by her husband and grandson. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be given to Heartland Pet Welfare in Bobbi’s memory.
Bobbi was born on August 31, 1946, the daughter of Robert and Vida (Gunn) Madison in Savanna, Illinois. She was raised in Savanna and graduated with the Class of 1964 from Glendale High School in Glendale, Arizona. Bobbi attended Arizona State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She married John Clemmons on May 30, 1988 in Big Bear Lake, California.
Bobbi was a Secretary for the Department of the Army for many years. She enjoyed working with the Carroll County D.A.R.E. program. Bobbi loved sitting on her front porch and watching her husband work in the yard. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and photography. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Shawn.
Bobbi will be dearly missed by her husband, John of Savanna; three sons, Glen Peabody of Mount Carroll, Illinois, Scott Buscha of Phoenix, Arizona and Brandon Clemmons of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister, Jacque Madison of Phoenix.
