Robert “Brian” Wiley, age 41, of Thomson, Illinois, formerly of Burlington, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Burlington, Iowa. Pastor Carl Engstrom of Bethany Lutheran Church will officiate. Brian was born July 5, 1964, the son of Sharon (Wiley) Whittaker in Burlington, Iowa. He graduated from Apollo High School in Burlington, Iowa Class of 1982. Brian married Cynthia (Caulkins) on March 26, 1999 in Burlington, Iowa. He was a Superintendent for the Allen Blasting and Coating Company in New London, Iowa. Brian loved to go fishing and enjoyed playing chess.
Brian will be deeply missed by his wife, Cynthia of Thomson; his sons, Tyler Caulkins and Brandon Wiley of Thomson, IL., and his son Elijah Caulkins of Mt. Carroll, IL.; his daughter, Sarah Jinkens of Burlington, Iowa; two grandsons Shaughnessey & Xavier Jinkens of Burlington, Iowa; and his brother, Jason Whittaker of Louisiana.
Preceding Brian in death is his grandmother, Virginia Wiley; an aunt, Karen Gibb; and a niece, Trinty Foy.
