Robert "Bob" Thulen

Robert “Bob” Thulen, age 66, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Burial will take place in Savanna Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
Bob was born September 8, 1950 the son of Wayne and El Rose (Atkins) Thulen in Savanna. He attended Savanna Schools.
Bob worked for Savanna Wood Products for 20 years. He also worked at Rolling Hills Progress Center for the last 20 years. Bob loved socializing at all the local establishments, and he enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers.
Bob will be dearly missed by two brothers, Bill (Ginnie) Thulen and David (Brenda) Thulen, both of Savanna; two sisters, Linda (Sam) Eley of Mosinee, Wisconsin and Kathi Thulen of Savanna; and a brother-in-law, Ed Haring of Shannon, Illinois.Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and El Rose; two brothers, Michael and Paul, and a sister, Elsie Haring.
