Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethel Reformed Church, Sterling, Ill.
SERVICES: 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. The Rev. Thomas Babler will be officiating. The Law-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Janvrin Peoples, 85, of Savanna, died Wednesday at Coventry Living Center, Sterling, Ill.
Burial will be in South Clyde Cemetery, rural Morrison, Ill.
He was born March 9, 1920, to Charles and Pearl Jarvrin Peoples in rural Morrison.
He attended South Clyde Country School and graduated from Morrison High School in 1938.
He farmed most of his life.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Savanna, and a former member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Malvern, Ill. He also was a member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include one brother, Norbert (Jeanette) Peoples of Sulphur, La.; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Peoples and Marjorie Peoples, both of Sterling; and 17 nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and five nieces and nephews.
