Robert Lee Hicks

Robert L. Hicks, age 60, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died April 7, 2006 at his home in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Church of God, Mt. Carroll, Illinois with Pastor Rick Zichefoose officiating. Inurnment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Zion, Illinois at a later date. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to FHN Hospice in Robert’s honor.
Robert was born June 28, 1945, the son of Wilbert C. and Jessie Marie (Fansler) in Kewanee, Illinois. He graduated from Kewanee High School in Kewanee, Illinois, Class of 1964. On March 20, 1965, Robert married Terri Wasion in Zion, Illinois.
Robert attended Devry Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois earning a Degree in Electronics. He worked for Gumm Chemical Company in Waukegan, Illinois for thirty years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #301, the Waukegan Moose Lodge #1329, and the Eagles Club of Waukegan.
Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Terri of Mt. Carroll; three sons, Robert L. (Jennifer) Hicks II of Moline, Illinois, Daniel M. (Danelle) Hicks of Crown King Arizona and Corey Shaun (Joanne) Hicks of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one daughter, Madalyn Nicole Hicks of Mt. Carroll; ten grandchildren; one brother, Wilbert (Astrid) Hicks, Jr. of Germany and one brother in-law, Frank Mannon of Kewanee; three sisters, Carol DeRycke of Kewanee, Susan Vincent of Peoria, Illinois, and Bonnie Hicks of Kewanee.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jodi Marie Hicks, one sister, Sarah Mannon.
