Robert Bruce Hatfield

Robert Bruce Hatfield, age 61, of Hanover, Illinois, died October 31, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, Illinois. Reverend Kenneth Arndt will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover, Illinois. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth, Illinois. Robert was born June 12, 1944, the son of Gordon and Geraldine (Kuhns) Hatfield in Savanna, Illinois. He graduated from the Elizabeth High School with the Class of 1963. He also attended technical school for Automotive Mechanics. Robert farmed most of his life, and worked in manufacturing. He also worked refinishing machinery for Murphy, Gustafson Implement in Freeport, Illinois. He was a big music fan, collecting records and tapes. Robert enjoyed watching sports he was an avid Bears fan. Robert was a member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, where he served as an Usher and Head Usher for many years..
Robert will be dearly missed by his three brothers, William (MaeAnn) Hatfield of Elizabeth, Illinois, Jerald (Barbara) Hatfield of Warren, Illinois, and Richard (Mary) Hatfield of Rockton, Illinois; two sisters, Sharon Hatfield of Chesterfield, Missouri and Sunny (David) Hughes of Oregon, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents.
