Bob was born April 11, 1955 in Savanna, the son of Julius and Barbara (Frank) Dauphin. He grew up on the family farm where he learned to love the outdoors. After graduating from the Mt. Carroll High School with the Class of 1973, Bob continued his passion of farming. He never tired of learning new skills as farm life requires. He was devoted to the farm and his animals. Bob enjoyed sharing this passion with his grandchildren as he would teach them about milking cows and caring for livestock. He also enjoyed deer hunting, watching Nascar, playing in the local pool league, and classic muscle cars.
Bob was always determined to succeed. This became very apparent in his battle with cancer. He displayed his "never-give-up" attitude, that he learned in his years of farming, as he stood strong in his battle with cancer.
Bob is survived by two sons, Robert (Dami) Dauphin of Stillman Valley, Illinois and Douglas (Amy) Dauphin of Ridott, Illinois; four grandchildren, Amelia, Josslynn, Macey and Jacob; his mother, Barbara Dauphin of Savanna; a brother, Jule (Joni) Dauphin of Mt. Carroll; two sisters, Deborah Franks of Birchwood, Wisconsin and Rebecca Dauphin of Savanna; and his companion, Kay Dauphin of Savanna. Bob is preceded in death by his father; his daughter, Laura; and a sister in infancy.
