Robert John Cornish

Robert John Cornish, age 71, of Savanna, IL passed away on March 12, 2019, in his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will take place at the Ridge Road Cemetery Association, Falls Cemetery in Rochester, New York, at a future date.

Robert was born September 4, 1947 in Rochester, NY to Oliver and Charlotte (Howell) Cornish. He graduated from Greece Olympia High School in Rochester, New York in 1965. He then continued his education at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, graduating with the Class of 1969, with a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Robert spent many of his working years as a Chemical Engineer for United Oil Products out of Chicago, IL and traveled extensively to the Middle East, Japan and Nova Scotia during the early years of his career.

Robert will be dearly missed by his sisters Sara (John) Ives and Nancy (Dawn) Case, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece and nephew

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers; Edward, Donald, and William Cornish.
