Richard Thompson, age 75, of Clinton, Iowa, previously of Fulton and Thomson, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton. A funeral service will be held 1;00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Thomson, Illinois. Burial will take place in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Illinois. Richard was born June 26, 1943, in Fulton, Illinois, the son of Bruce and Lucille (Pessman) Thompson. He attended Fulton schools. Richard worked several jobs in life, including concrete work, welding and commercial fishing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking, splitting wood, walking the trails, stock car races and the NFL.
Richard will be missed by his close friends, including Fritz Jordan and Darrell Rus. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John, due to a hunting accident at the age of 11.
