Richard Truman Anderson

Richard “Rick” Truman Anderson, age 60 of Thomson, Illinois, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Rick’s memory.
Rick was born on August 17, 1955, the son of William and Hazel (Green) Anderson in Savanna, Illinois. He was raised in Savanna and graduated from Savanna High School. He was employed at Timken Drives in Futon, Illinois for over fifteen years. Rick loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping and cutting wood. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
Rick is survived by his three daughters, Pauline (Tim) Smith of Clinton, Iowa; Cynthia (Rodney Mohrhardt) Anderson of Clinton; and Elizabeth Anderson of Fulton; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Samuel Anderson and Leroy (Jackie) Anderson, both of Savanna. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two sisters; and one grandson.
